An "Environment Pit" using corn cobs for the filter system was constructed to serve as "an artificial wetland". Tile water will flow through the pit before entering the stream.
The tile line water will be monitored for Nitrogen, Phosphorus, 26 Pesticides and Solids in Suspension with the help of financial support from the Iowa DNRs Water Monitoring Section.
